Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the largest trusts in the country

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust was created by merging St Mary’s NHS Trust with Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust and integrating with the faculty of medicine at Imperial College London. It is now one of the largest NHS trusts in the country.

The challenge

There are five hospitals within the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust:

  • Charing Cross Hospital
  • Hammersmith Hospital
  • Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital
  • St Mary’s Hospital
  • Western Eye Hospital

The trust required the installation and maintenance of both Fire Alarm and Building Energy Management Systems across all sites.

Our Approach

ACL is extremely proud to be associated with the trust and since 2009 have provided maintenance and installation services for both Fire Alarm and Building Energy Management Systems, including a rapid response service for emergency callouts.

We are connected to a broad range of the trusts businesses across the sites and have developed a ‘can do’ attitude for the many daily situations that can arise.

The Result

The trust has invested heavily in energy improvements across their portfolio and, through the tendering processes, ACL has been successful in providing a vast number of the installations in the major BEMS upgrade projects carried out.
