As we begin a new year our 2020 partnership with Macmillan comes to a close. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Macmillan team throughout the last year, the experience has been incredibly enriching, we have learned about all of the fantastic things Macmillan do to support cancer patients and their families, as well as just how important raising awareness of early symptoms of cancer are.

Due to the hurdles COVID-19 posed during the last year we were not able to take part in our planned ‘main event’, Tough Mudder. But this did not deter us, we pledged to raise at least £5,000 for Macmillan and we weren’t going to let anything stop us, instead, we decided to climb Mount Snowdon. Clearly the odds were not in our favor as when we arrived in Wales to complete our 14k upwards trek, a storm was due to arrive, and so it did! Even still, with torrential rain, gale-force winds and temperatures of below zero we completed the Snowdon climb.

We are so proud of each and every ACL team member who threw themselves into fundraising this year, with some running marathons, others organising quizzes and Halloween dress-up competitions, we have collectively managed to raise a staggering £8,500 (inc Gift Aid).

A huge thank you to all the friends, family, colleagues and clients who have donated and supported our events, and a thank you to Macmillan for the opportunity to work closely with such an amazing charity, we are all very much looking forward to working with Macmillan again over the coming years.
