In these times of extreme uncertainty, we wanted to provide you with an update as to what ACL are doing to mitigate any impact to our Clients and team. Within our business we have identified areas that we consider mission critical to operations and have developed contingency plans for our office and field staff, ensuring we continue to operate and perform essential works, but only where it is safe to do so. In order to mitigate the risk of transmission to our office and stores we have asked staff to work remotely from home and now have only minimal staff at the office on a rota basis.
We are taking every precaution possible to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment for all staff, we have supplied specific Covid 19 Health and Safety guidance to all teams continuing to work across all of our sectors, including healthcare, and have provided a range of cleaning products and PPE.
We continue to have a good stock of spare equipment and are able to provide emergency assistance to all clients who have a current support agreement, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The only exception being that all site visits are to be subject to a risk assessment first to ensure there is a safe working environment for our engineers when onsite. With clients approval we can continue to attend site to complete any works on the basis that we are able to do so whilst in full accordance with the most up to date advice and recommendations provided to us and as detailed on the gov.uk website.
We would advise any clients that maintain any critical plant, fire life safety systems or essential security systems, that they are checked regularly and where safe to do so, the routine testing regime continues. With the potential for the restrictions to start to be lifted incrementally over a number of weeks, we would also recommend that building managers consider continuing planned maintenance and testing before buildings start to become re-occupied, to minimise social contact between maintenance teams and the occupants, and to ensure that all systems fully operational.
Lastly, we would like to say thank you to not only our team, but all key workers who are continuing to work throughout these unprecedented times.
