Dukes London

When DUKES LONDON, a 5 star deluxe boutique hotel in Mayfair, needed to change its fire detection system as part of a life safety investment, it turned to Alarm Communication Ltd (ACL) - one of the South of England’s leading specialists in the configuration of fire detection solutions.  ACL had no previous connection with the hotel but came highly recommended.

Ray Healey, ACL’s Business Director, provided the hotel with confidence that the process of moving away from a multi loop closed protocol fire detection system to an open one would be a seamless transition as ACL had previously carried out a number of hotel fire Dukes front 1.jpgalarm replacements.

The investment meant that the hotel would enjoy a sleeker new look and a greater feeling about owning a fire system that not only provided the hotel with a more flexible approach to maintenance services but one that would reduce those all-important unwanted false alarms.

The first part of the project was to carry out a full building survey. Once the survey was complete, a full detailed project plan was offered and presented to the customer. The go-ahead was given and the changeover process commenced.

All equipment installed conformed the relevant part of EN54 for intelligent fire detection.

The project lasted a total of 6 weeks with all new call points, multi-sensors and interfaces being installed, a full commissioning report was provided following completion.

Debrah's feedback “The engineers were very clean, professional and polite. Their work day started very early to enable them to complete the works on time and within budget” with the least disturbance to our business. Ray was always at the end of a phone should we need to ask any questions. Delighted performance with the project – Thank you.
